Since a few days , our digizaal.server01 is equiped with the latest PLESK panel 9.5 where some exciting new function were added. here an overview of the most important:
PCI Compliance — Parallels Plesk Panel can be made compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. This can be achieved by running a special PCI compliance resolver utility and additional tuning of system components, as described in the document Achieving PCI Compliance for Servers Managed by Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.
Compatibility with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 — Parallels Plesk Panel is now compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.
More virtualization solutions supported — Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5 can operate in virtual environments created by the following virtualization solutions: Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, Microsoft Hyper-V, Xen, VMWare, KVM and Parallels Server 4 Bare Metal.
API RPC Protocol 184.108.40.206 — Updated API RPC protocol improves the ability to integrate your software solutions with the Parallels Plesk Panel and completely supports all important features introduced in Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.
New Operating System Support — Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5 fully supports Cloud Linux, OpenSuSE 11, Fedora 11, Debian 5, Windows Server 2008 R2 and CloudLinux 5.
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Support — Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5 for Windows now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
Improved Hosting Setup — User Interface for Hosting Setup was redone to make the procedure easier and more intuitive. The improved usability allows service providers to setup hosting on one page much quicker then before.
Greylisting — Greylisting reduces the amount of unsolicited e-mail (SPAM) delivered to e-mail addresses by capitalizing on spammers’ reluctance to configure their mail servers properly. Since most spammers do not retry sending email, the greylisting initially refuses all mail from unknown sources and accepts them on a later retry. This technology can cut spam as much as 95% of spam.
